Once we receive your inquiry we will schedule a phone or in person consult to discuss your needs. We will discuss your initial ideas and space requirements as well as your priorities for the built in.
After the initial consult we will obtain inspiration images or design specs from you for your built in. We will need all appliance, plumbing, hardware and lighting information.
We will come to your home to measure every detail of the space so that we can work up all of the details of your built in! If you have any architectural plans of your home feel free to provide that to us as well.
Using the measurements we then develop detailed elevations of your built in to get the exact details correct! These details will highlight the style, dimensions and hardware location.
We will review the detailed elevations and details of your built in prior to getting approval and a deposit for your project. We will also make any final revisions to your elevations at this time.
This is where the magic happens! Once we receive your deposit your project enters our workflow. Your built in will be produced in our shop or on site depending on the needs of your project.
Once your built in has been built we will take care to finish with premium materials. This can be any paint or stain finish.
If your built in is produced in our shop we will schedule the installation with you. Stout + Tailored will install and ensure everything is perfectly installed prior to obtaining the final payment.

Stout + Tailored can obtain any type of wood selection you could possibly want. We do recommend certain wood species for projects that will be painted versus stained. We would be happy to help you decide if you are unsure what type of wood species you would like to use.
We offer a variety of finishes including stains, paints, and clear coats to protect and enhance the beauty of the wood.
We love working with clients to make their cabinetry exactly as they would like. We ask for the client to be involved in the design process. Additionally, we actively share pictures of projects on social media allowing clients to be actively involved in the process of the build.
We understand that life is very busy so we try to minimize any disturbance while working in your home. With this in mind, we would like to have our work area cleared of any other furniture and materials so that we can keep our station contained. We actively clean up as we work to minimize any mess and dust in your home. When working on site we plan to be on site from 8am - 5pm or until the job is finished. During this time period we will be using louder tools so there will be noise associated with our work.
Since each piece is custom-made, we do not offer refunds or returns. However, we will work with you to make any necessary adjustments to ensure your satisfaction.
